this week joined their counterparts worldwide to celebrate World Democracy Day. What was important about the celebrations is not the number of speeches made, but memories of multiparty events in the early 90s. During this period, apart from people living in fear in some residential areas in the country, there were slogans that sold like hot cake. For example; ??Suffer Don Finish??, ??Biya Must Go??, ??Come no Go?? ??Opposition Coalition?? ??Unique Candidate?? ??They want to take our brother??s place?? ??Go and do that your thing
in your province?? etc. Today, things have changed. Cameroonians have attained democratic maturity. Those who have been victims are now wise and vigilant. Even bags of rice and ??Sapark?? can no more move the crowd. In the days ahead, for any politician to convince a militant to vote for his party, he needs to keep aside the ??Oyeeeeh!!!…Oyeyeyeye!!!?? language and talk development. Please watch out!!!
