made last Saturday during a historic joint conference in Bangem. The crowd-pulling event that took place at the Paul Biya Stadium under the theme ??Kupe Muanenguba for President Biya and His Great Ambitions for Cameroon?? was an occasion for the sons and daughters of the area to showcase their unflinching support and reiterate their readiness to offer a hundred percent vote for their party chairman come the next presidential elections. Spiced by traditional music from the nook and crannies of Cameroon, several speakers in a show of total solidarity, mounted the rostrum to echo the will and wishes of the people of Kupe Muanenguba. Top amongst them was a son of the soil, elite and Minister of Forestry and Wildlife, Professor Elvis Ngolle Ngolle, who thanked militants and friends especially those from Meme Division, for braving the bad roads and heavy rains to be part of the historic event. He said, scheduling the conference at a time when the roads in and out of the area are in a bad state, is to once more portray the readiness of the people of Kupe Muanenguba at all times to support the chairman and to reiterate the fact that the party was created to function all round the season. He denounced attacks by a foreign NGO on the party chairman and reminded them that by attacking Comrade Paul Biya who is the choice of the people of Kupe Muanenguba, the NGO is directly attacking the people of Kupe Muanenguba. He announced the distribution of 200 copies of the basic texts of the party and 20 copies of ??The Biya Code?? to militants and non-militants to help them enhance their understanding of the party rules and vision of the party Chairman Paul Biya, ??the best guarantee.?? Another son of the soil, John Ebong Ngolle, member of the CPDM Political Bureau, expressed happiness with the turnout. In a panegyric, he congratulated the organizers of the joint conference and called on the people of Kupe Muanenguba to keep supporting President Paul Biya. He invited President Paul Biya to come and launch his 2011 presidential campaign in Bangem. The representative of the secretary general of the CPDM Central Committee, Emmanuel Ngafesson, hailed the people of Kupe Muanenguba for their incessant support to the party since its creation. He said the party chairman has not forgotten the people of Kupe Muanenguba and South West Region in general. He added that apart from appointing several sons and daughters of the area to high positions, the chairman of the party is also thinking of problems of roads like the Bangem-Nguti and Bangem-Melong roads. Earlier, other speakers like the Mayor of Bangem, Ekuh Simon pleaded for the development of roads to enable them to transport their products. Chief Nkwelle Simon, representative of the three sections of the party (Bangem, Nguti and Tombel), urged government to construct more classrooms, health centres and extend electricity to other parts of the Division. Two lectures were dished out to militants. One on, ??Politics in Development?? by Chief Atem Ebako and the second on ??Party Education?? by Dr. Alobwede. The conference ended with the reading of the Kupe Muanenguba Declaration.
