Cameroon: Alexandre Belinga becomes interim Coach of Indomitable Lions

The Normalization Committee of the Cameroon Football Federation has appointed Alexandre Belinga as interim coach of the senior male National football team of Cameroon the Indomitable Lions.
The information is contained in one of two decisions signed this Friday, 9th March 2018. The normalisation committee also launched calls for candidature for the recruitment of a new coach.
The decision follows the end of the contract of Hugo Broos on February 9, 2018 and it wasn’t renewed.
On December 4, 2017 the Normalization Committee highlighted a number of reasons why the contract should not be renewed. It was contained in resolutions reached after a meeting and the content was hacked. Some of the reasons raised in the letter addressed to the Minister of Sports and Physical Education include, poor performance illustrated by the non qualification of the Indomitable Lions for FIFA world Russia 2018. Furthermore, they pinpointed the fact that he tarnished the image of Cameroon internationally among others.

Who is Alexandre Belinga
The interim coach is making a come to the National team. The Cameroonian born was deputy to the outgoing Hugo Broos. He formally held the position of interim coach in 2015 following the termination of the then coach Folke Finke. He is said to have a mastery of African football. He has already announced a press conference for Monday, 13th March to make public his plan of action.

Calls for Tender
The second decision signed by the normalisation committee is a call for tender for the recruitment of a new coach. The normalisation committee request the coaches with a rich experience in African football and rich contact should apply.
