Cameroon – Horror in Ngousso: mad truck crushes people and property

Four people have died following a ghastly motor accident that occurred this Thursday 15th February 2018 at Eleveur- Ngousso neighbourhood in Yaounde.
The accident occurred at about 5 p.m.
According to eye witness accounts, the heavy duty vehicle matriculated: CE 267 IV witnessed a break failure. The doom vehicle left Chapel Ngousso and rolled over close to 200 metres and bumped in to a drinking spot and supper market located near a filling station.
The casualty, according to reliable sources, amount to four dead and many others injured.
Amongst the victims were a couple in a red car, waiting for their two kids to buy bread from the supper market. The husband died in the hospital shortly after, while the wife remains in a critical condition with the two legs gone.
A military officer in a drinking spot in the campany of a friend died.
A Commercial bike rider swept off by the mad car died on the spot.
The owner of a drinking spot also died.
Many present were left with physical or psychological injury.
Witnesses say the 26 year truck driver, after witnessing the horror caused by the car, went mentally off.
The children of the couple in the red car came out of the supper market and find their one time strong and happy parents gasping for breath in the one-time luxurious good looking car, now in total ruins.
Apart from human damage, the material damage is equally extensive.
The walls of the building housing the supper market and drinking spot is completely destroyed, talking less of numerous bottles of drinks that were broken. The merchandise of some road vendors were completely crushed.
