Cameroonian author of World Cup song yet to receive royalties Yaounde (Cameroon) Cameroonian musical band Zangalewa, author of the song which was taken over by Colombia's Shakira in lieu of a anthem to the football World Cup South Africa 2010, has so far not received any royalties or compensation.
The band learnt through the media that its most known song would be the official World Cup song with "Waka Waka, Time for Africa", performed by Shakira and the South African band Freshlyground at Orlando Stadium in Soweto.

World Cup post-game: Japan 1, Cameroon 0Keisuke Honda scored late in the first half to lift Japan to a 1-0 World Cup victory over Cameroon Monday in Group E action from Bloemfontein, South Africa.

Honda's goal allowed the Japanese to earn a historic victory.
