 National Agricultural Extension and Research Programme meeting held in Yaounde Tuesday.
The Steering Committee of the National Agricultural Extension and Research Programme, NAERP, which is the productive arm of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, has evaluated the activities of last year, defined regulations and adopted a budget of FCFA 1.1 billion for 2012.  La nouvelle loi votée par le parlement prévoit des incitations pour les grands projets.
L’Assemblée nationale a adopté lundi 02 avril dernier le projet de loi sur le nouveau code gazier. Ce texte de 77 articles remplace la loi ancienne, votée en décembre 2002. Le gouvernement a estimé qu’il fallait tirer « les leçons des insuffisances » qu’elle contenait. Comme celui qu’il a remplacé, le nouveau code gazier régit les activités du secteur en aval. La loi défendue par Basile Atangana Kouna, ministre de l’Eau et de l’Energie, se préoccupe du transport, de la distribution, de l’exportation et de la vente du gaz naturel

 The National Bureau of the group of electricity companies met in Douala Tuesday.
The Association of Electricity and Water Companies (ASEELEC), a group of about 50 electricity companies, has resolved to instill order in the energy sector. Meeting for the first time on Tuesday, April 3, since its creation last year, the National Bureau appraised the problems plaguing the sector of electricity in the country and set up a plan of action to improve upon the situation, once implemented.
