Volleyball – 2012 Olympics Qualifiers: Cameroon Not To CompeteThe female national volleyball team of Cameroon might not take part in the qualifying tournament for the 2012 Olympics in Blida, Algeria.
The team which has been training since 10 days at the National Institute for Youth and Sports (INJS) in Yaoundé; has not been allocated necessary financial means for the tournament.
Officials in the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education say calendars of projects from the volleyball federation (FECAVOLLEY) reached MINSEP late and that the ministry might no more allocate funds for tournaments which do not benefit much to the country.
The tournament which was to take place from January 25 to February 5 was reprogrammed from the 2nd to the 4th of Feb 2012.
